Revolution, anyone?
Wow. Great posts from Gary and Phil. Romney seems to be the best of the mainstream politicians, but as Gary pointed out, we are a long way from how this country was founded, and or potential. But would electing Ron Paul put us back on track, or (like Schwartzenegger only on a much larger scale) just piss off most Americans who are in favor of big government spending and intervention? After all, the founders gave Americans the power, and look what we have done with it. I personally do not think Romney will make the difference we need. At the risk of sounding pessemistic, I think on the slim chance he gets elected at best he will slow things down until the next dirtbag takes office. McCain, Hillary or Obama will take it this time or the next. Let the clowns switch chairs as America slips further away from responsibility and freedom. It's all a big cycle and we're on the downward swing. Nations first fight for freedom and then they throw it away. I plan to support Ron Paul even as he loses this election. I will write his name in. And I will try to educate other Americans because until they choose to take back their freedom, the government is a losing cause.

The thing about Ron Paul is that it is not about just winning the election and becoming the president. It is all about getting people to see what is going on and taking action. It is a Revolution.
Ron Paul's solutions to getting us out of debt are the only ones that will work and are in alignment with the founding fathers.
He wants to get rid of the federal reserve and the IRS. At first that seems very extreme to some but that is only because they do not understand how they go together.
Some people think the Federal Reserve Banks are United States Government institutions. They are not Government institutions, departments, or agencies. They are private credit monopolies which prey upon the people of the United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers. Those 12 original private credit monopolies were deceitfully placed upon this country by bankers who came here from Europe and who repaid us for our hospitality by undermining our American institutions.
The FED basically works like this: The government granted its power to create money to the FED banks. They create money, then loan it back to the government charging interest. The government levies income taxes to pay the interest on the debt. On this point, it's interesting to note that the Federal Reserve Act and the sixteenth amendment, which gave congress the power to collect income taxes, were both passed in 1913. The incredible power of the FED over the economy is destroying this country.
Ron Paul understands this and realizes that if we get rid of the IRS we would all have about 35% more income to spend and our economy would flourish once again. The IRS was put in place to insure that the debt created by the fed's would be paid. Our Taxes go toward paying that debt. All a part of the evil plan of the globalist. You should go to http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/thefederalreserve.htm
to read how JFK tried to stop it when he was in office.
Ron Paul may not when the election but he will not go away and we should continue to support the revolution, as it is called.
Now is the time that we need to stand up and vote for the person that we think will really make the changes we need and not just vote for the person we think will have the best chance to win. many of us have done that in the past and look were we are today. Still complaining but not willing to really make a stand for true freedom.
Those wise men who drafted the Constitution, carefully limited the power of the Federal Government to impose taxes. They denied it the power to impose direct taxes except when apportioned among the states and the bases of population. Since this is an extremely unpopular method of taxation, the restraint was most effective in keeping taxes down until the income tax amendment was adopted which made incomes subject to direct federal taxation without apportionment. The results has been most dramatic.
Back in the early 1930's when the nation was on the gold standard, the national annual budget was between four and five billion dollars. Today it is far more than a hundred times that amount and is growing by many billions more each year.
All of the candidates running are still coming up with the same old solution they come up with in every election, except Ron Paul.
Are we just going to let it happen again. People need to wake up before it is to late.
